Elijah Foundation launched EF Facebook. Now friends and "fans" can follow EF on Facebook at www.facebook.com/efoundation. We are very excited to share our ministry to new friends over Facebook.

EF has started the campaign to get all our orphans at Sunflower Orphanage, Vietnam to get sponsored. Please pray and partner with us to get this campaign off and running!

Elijah Foundation has changed credit card processing company. We will be using PayPal from now on. If you notice any change in your credit card statement, please note this change. Thank you.

We have received the official documents from the Vietnam government approving our Sunflower Orphanage. Following are more information about the official license:

1. This license is good indefinitely - we do not have to renew it every year. It is a long term permission but time to time we have to provide program purpose and other information to the Social and Children Department.

2. We can now apply for birth certificates for all our children at Sunflower. With birth certificates, we can enroll our children at public schools and get free hospital services until the age of 6.

3. We can now welcome any guests to visit without fear or worry about the government.

We had received word from Vietnam that our Sunflower Orphanage had been approved as an official orphanage! We are waiting for official documents and will post it as soon as we get a copy. Thanks for all your prayers and support in this very important matter.

Many different Vietnamese government departments have visited our Sunflower Orphanage in July, 2009. They have come for inspections (in request to our many applications) to possibly grant us legal/official license to operate our orphanage. This is very important step as it will give each of our orphans a birth certificate and citizenship as Vietnamese. This give them rights to public education as well as government subsidized hospital care. Please pray for this process as additional 5 more inspections are scheduled in the month of August and possible license in September. Also, please pray as we need to raise the mandatory government fee of $3,000 if approved.

Acts Fellowship Church from Toronto, Canada under the leadership of Sandy and Anne Song visited Khaodee Orphanage on July 5 thru July 20, 2009. The team of 17 people, mostly families with their children, helped out in the kitchen to feed our 100 children, taught English and music to our children and at their school. They donated a "giant" stainless steel wok so the kitchen staff can be more efficient in cooking!

Onnuri English Ministry (from Seoul, Korea) mission team visited Khaodee Orphanage from June 25 thru July 4, 2009. They conducted VBS and other fun activities and contributed funds to make addition to the girl's dormitory.

New website completed!

Pastor Danny will be traveling to Thailand and to Vietnam on July 6 thru August 3. He will be visiting Khaodee Orphanage, Sila Orphanage in Thailand and will go to Vietnam to visit Sunflower Orphanage.

Due to the airport closure in Bangkok, Pastor Danny cancelled his planned attendance of the first Revival Meeting to be held by Khaodee Orphanage in the city of Chiang Rai. The revival meeting was held on December 12-13, 2008 and over 600 children from around the city joined this event.
